About the integration
Section titled “About the integration”The EmailShepherd and OpenAI integration lets you connect your OpenAI API key to EmailShepherd so you can use OpenAI models to power your EmailShepherd AI Agents.
Usage is billed directly by OpenAI on the account you connect, and doesn’t draw from your EmailShepherd AI credits.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- An OpenAI account with billing enabled and an API key
- The
manage_app_configurationpermission in EmailShepherd (Admins have this by default)
- In EmailShepherd, navigate to Organization Settings > AI Provider
- Enable Use a custom AI provider
- Select OpenAI as the provider
- Paste your API key
- Choose the model to use for each supported action
- Save
