This glossary explains the terms you’ll come across when you start using EmailShepherd, and where to find each one in the app.
Component
Section titled “Component”A content block that makes up part of an email, such as a header, an image or a block of text. You add components to an email in the editor’s Components tab. See What are components?
Email Design System (EDS)
Section titled “Email Design System (EDS)”The set of components, and the design rules behind them, that you build emails from. Each email uses one EDS. Find them by clicking Email Design Systems in the sidebar. See Getting started with Email Design Systems.
Project
Section titled “Project”A group of related emails, such as a newsletter series. Each project belongs to a team, and only members of that team (and Admins) can access it. Find your projects by clicking Projects in the sidebar. See How to create a project.
