How to minify exported HTML

Requirements

You must have the Admin role to allow HTML minification. If your organization uses custom roles, your role needs the Manage App Configuration permission.

This article shows you how to minify the HTML when you export an email.

Minifying removes whitespace and other code that isn’t needed, so the exported HTML is smaller. This helps keep large emails under size limits, such as the size at which Gmail clips an email.

Allow HTML minification

Before anyone can minify an export, an Admin needs to allow it for your organization.

1. In the top-left of the sidebar, click your organization’s name, then select Organization settings.
2. Select the App configuration tab.
3. Under Exports, turn on Allow HTML minification on exports.
4. Click Save Changes.

Minify an export

When you export an email, turn on Minify HTML. It’s turned on by default.
